Hi, football fans! Aren’t you getting super excited as the World Cup is just around the corner?!
Here in this post, I would like to give you some examples of how much will things cost at the stadiums at the 2018 World Cup.
Until the World Cup starts, I can only tell you some approximate numbers according to pricing at the previous World Cup and 2017 Confederations Cup. Prices at the 2018 World Cup won’t likely to be much different from them (maybe just slightly higher).
First off, let’s find out how much will beer cost at the 2018 World Cup games. I mean, it’s the bestseller among the football fans from all over the world :).
Four years ago in Brazil, they were selling beers (Brahma and Budweiser) at the stadium for $3-$4 which was a great price. At the Confederations Cup in Russia, the cost of beer was a little bit more expensive – 200 or 250 Rubles which is about $4-$5. But with the beer in Russia, you also get a souvenir plastic cup which is pretty cool to save and bring home as a memory.
There are two beers to choose from – Bud and Klinskoye (it’s the Russian local beer which is cheaper than Bud).
I can take a pretty good guess that at the World Cup games they’ll be selling beer for the same price – 200 Rubles for Klinskoye and 250 Rubles for Bud. I recommend you to buy cheaper Klinskoye – it’s a good local beer.
Soft drinks like Coca-Cola, Sprite, ice tea or a bottle of mineral water will be 150 Rubles (about $3).
At the venues, fans will also be able to get food and snacks for a reasonable price.
Here are some of the foods that were on sale at the 2017 Confederations Cup:
- hot dog – 250 Rubles;
- sandwiches – 200 Rubles;
- French fries – 150 Rubles;
- candy bar – 100 Rubles;
- peanuts – 100 Rubles;
- potato chips – 100 Rubles;
- Russian cabbage pie – 100 Rubles.
These kind of prices you can expect at the 2018 World Cup. Depending on the stadium, there might be some different food delicacy but they’ll all be around the same price range.
Let’s move on to the souvenirs that you could buy at the venues on a match-day. At each stadium there will be stands selling a bunch of souvenirs and accessories such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, pins, souvenir balls and etc.
- t-shirts – 1500-2000 Rubles;
- hoodies – 3000 Rubles;
- hats – 1000-1500 Rubles;
- official 2018 World Cup ball – 8000 Rubles;
- replica 2018 World Cup ball – 3000 Rubles;
- mini souvenir ball – 800 Rubles;
- scarf – 1500 Rubles;
A very important thing you should know is that at the stadiums they only accept VISA cards. You can’t use any other cards like Mastercard or American Express for purchases. You’ll have to pay either with VISA credit/debit card or cash in the Russian Rubles.
